General Labourer

Tasks & Responsibilities

As a general labour at Sewereye; you will be responsible for performing the general laborer activities.

– Assist with cleaning underground pipes and perform CCTV inspection.
– Assist with confined space work (in some locations).
– Load, unload and move heavy materials.
– Maintain a clean and organized work area.
– Ensure all tools and equipment are well maintained and properly stored.
– Direct traffic at or near work site.

– Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and maintain safe working environment.

Requirements

– Physical strength and endurance to handle heavy material
– Good eye-hand coordination
– Attention to details and strong work ethics
– Thoroughness, precision, attention to detail and ease of concentration
– Good team player
– Sense of responsibility
– Be open to technological changes
– Bilingual an asset
– Versatility
– Able to work occasionally on shift work (evening / night /weekend)
– Be able to work out of town
– Hold a class G driver’s license
– Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions, plans, etc.
– Problem-solving ability
– Qualification/ knowledge in CCTV inspection is an asset
